Forthwith CLI License Terms

Forthwith LLC licenses the Forthwith command-line interface application, including downloadable binaries, updates, and related packaged CLI releases that we make available for download.

This page governs the downloadable CLI product itself. Your use of the Forthwith website, hosted dashboard, and APIs remains subject to our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Separate installation or uninstallation scripts that we expressly release under the MIT License are governed by that separate license, not by these CLI license terms.

Subject to these terms, Forthwith LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Forthwith CLI for your own internal business use or personal use in connection with authorized Forthwith accounts, services, and workflows.

You may make a reasonable number of copies of the CLI for installation, backup, and operational recovery, provided you keep all proprietary notices intact.

You may not sell, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, lend, distribute, publish, mirror, or otherwise make the CLI available to third parties except as expressly authorized by Forthwith LLC in writing.

You may not modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works of the CLI, and you may not remove or obscure copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices included with the software.

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, underlying ideas, or non-public interfaces of the CLI except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly forbids this restriction.

You may not use the CLI to bypass authentication, rate limits, security controls, license enforcement, or service restrictions imposed by Forthwith LLC.

The Forthwith CLI is proprietary software. The CLI is licensed, not sold, and Forthwith LLC and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the software, related documentation, branding, and all associated intellectual property rights.

No rights are granted to you except the limited rights expressly stated in these license terms.

This license starts when you download, install, or use the CLI and continues until it is terminated.

Forthwith LLC may terminate this license immediately if you breach these terms or use the CLI in a way that creates legal, security, operational, or commercial risk for Forthwith LLC or others.

When the license ends, you must stop using the CLI and delete or destroy all copies in your possession or control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Forthwith CLI is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forthwith LLC and its officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising out of or related to the CLI.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of Forthwith LLC for all claims relating to the CLI will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Forthwith LLC for Forthwith services in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).

We may update the CLI and these license terms from time to time. The effective date and version shown on this page identify the current published CLI license terms.

Unless we state otherwise, updated license terms apply prospectively to downloads, installations, updates, and continued use of the CLI after the updated terms become effective.
